About Us

Pak Aid Welfare Trust (PAWT)

In 2017, a group of visionary individuals founded the Pak Aid Welfare Trust (PAWT) in Pakistan, driven by the humanitarian values of empathy, generosity, and selflessness. Initially registered under the Trust Act of 1882, the organization was later re-registered under the Islamabad Capital Territory Charities Registration, Regulation, and Facilitation Act, 2021.

As a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political entity, PAWT is certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP), ensuring its commitment to transparency, accountability, and impactful welfare work in education, healthcare, and emergency relief.

At PAWT, we are passionate about human development and eradicating poverty in Pakistani With deep roots in the country, we aim to drive positive social change through our unwavering commitment to compassion, justice, and excellence, values inspired by our Islamic faith.

We continuously work towards creating prosperous, healthy lives for individuals and families, embodying our dedication to improving society and respecting the sanctity of life.

Chairman’s Message

Rashid Ahmad Marwat

We dedicate our efforts, expertise and resources to facilitate the vulnerable members of our society by providing them clean drinking water, food, clothes, shelter, healthcare, housing and education irrespective of caste, creed, color, race and religion.

We respect national and international Values in all of its projects and activities. By the Grace of the Almighty Allah, it can be proudly said that Pak Aid Welfare Trust has become a back-bone of the poor society and provides help after a complete inquiry survey. This organization receives aid from different parts of the country. Each and every penny is spent after a strict inquiry and a utilization report is delivered to those who send this aid to us. Our aim is to inquire and survey to find the ones who need us.

Chief Executive Officer

Mufti Naeem Shahid

Mufti Naeem Shahid is a distinguished humanitarian leader and development practitioner with over 24 years of experience in social welfare, humanitarian response, and institutional development, alongside specialized expertise in Halal governance and Shariah advisory. As the Chief Executive Officer of Pak-Aid Welfare Trust, he provides strategic leadership focused on serving vulnerable communities and driving sustainable impact.

With a strong foundation in Islamic jurisprudence and modern management (MBA-IT), he has contributed to building ethical, transparent systems within the NGO sector. He has also played a key role in advancing Halal standards at national and international levels, representing Pakistan at forums such as OIC/SMIIC, and strengthening compliance frameworks across multiple countries.

He has led large-scale humanitarian and disaster relief operations, supporting millions affected by crises across Pakistan and beyond. His leadership reflects integrity, compassion, and a commitment to inclusive, sustainable development. Under his guidance, Pak-Aid Welfare Trust continues to expand its work in relief, rehabilitation, and long-term community development.

Managing Director

Farooq Hussain Shah

Farooq Hussain Shah serves as Managing Director of Pak Aid Welfare Trust, bringing strong operational leadership and over two decades of experience in project management and community development. Since 2019, he has led the organization’s operations with a focus on efficiency, accountability, and measurable impact,  particularly in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and humanitarian response programs.

With an academic background in Agriculture (MSc Hons., Horticulture), Farooq combines technical expertise with strategic planning and team leadership. He oversees program execution, financial planning, compliance, and stakeholder partnerships, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Known for his disciplined management style and solution-oriented approach, he has successfully led cross-functional teams, strengthened operational systems, and expanded community outreach initiatives. His leadership continues to enhance institutional capacity and drive sustainable impact across all program areas.

PARTNERSHIPS & COLLABORATIONS

PAWT maintains strong collaborations with corporate donors, philanthropists, and international partners to enhance the scale and impact of its humanitarian efforts. Key corporate supporters include GlaxoSmithKline, Bank Islami, Ghani glass, Rajby Industries, and Orient Electronics. International partnerships have been formalized through MOUs with Basir Social Assistance (Turkey) and Pak Aid Welfare USA. The organization holds regulatory approvals, including certification from the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) and foreign funding clearance from the Economic Affairs Divisioni Nationally, PAWT actively engages with the Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum and works in alliance with various local civil society organizations (CSOs).
